My colleague and former North County resident, Toby Weiss, wrote up this stellar summary of the history of West Florissant Avenue. She’s been photographing this street for years (I had the opportunity to join her on some of her earlier sojourns), and the time seems right for this magnum opus. You don’t have to agree with everything Toby says, but her insight into the development of this now famous street strikes at powerful chords.
