Back in the day, this trail was known as Lawlor Ford Road, and apparently was a very early road that allowed travelers to cross the Meramec River in western St. Louis County. The street sign is gone, present up until only a few years ago, and the rutted old road has been replaced with a paved trail that is part of the system of trails around the area. Zombie Road, a part of West County teenage lore for generations, has a much more neat and clean appearance nowadays.
